We source fabric from established mills across Italy, the United Kingdom, and Asia — including wool, wool-linen blends, fresco, cotton, and linen. Every roll is verified for composition and weave. Provenance details are shown on each product page.

Absolutely. Many of our customers order capsule wardrobes — for example, two pants and three shirts in coordinating fabrics. Just add each piece to your cart. They will be crafted in parallel, and delivered together when complete.

The most accurate option for remote orders. Mail us a shirt, pants, or jacket that fits you well — we measure it and build your profile from there.

3. Pick a standard size from our chart
For shirts, pants, and suits we have size charts (S/M/L or numeric like 32/34/36). Pick the closest size — you can fine-tune length and fit in the next steps.

4. Measure a garment that already fits
Lay a well-fitting piece flat and measure key points — easier than measuring your body, and more accurate.

5. Existing customer? We have your profile
If you've ordered with us before, we already have your measurements saved. Just log in and select your saved profile at checkout.

6. Order with your best estimate
If you're still unsure, place the order with your best guess. Bespoke garments are cut to your individual measurements and cannot be resold. For that reason, bespoke pieces are not eligible for return — but they are fully covered by our fit guarantee.

Our online measurement tool walks you through every measurement step by step, with photos and short videos. You will need a soft tape measure and ideally a friend to help — measuring yourself accurately is tricky alone, especially around the back and shoulders.

Yes. When you create an account, your measurement profiles are saved automatically. You can store multiple profiles — useful if you order for yourself, a partner, or family members. On future orders, just select an existing profile instead of re-entering measurements.

For changes of more than 3–4 kg, we recommend creating a new measurement profile (or updating your existing one). For smaller changes, your current profile should still fit — and the fit guarantee covers minor adjustments either way.

Each piece carries a care label inside — follow it as the first guide. As general rules:

• Dry clean only for tailored suits, jackets, and wool trousers
• Hand-wash or gentle machine cycle for cotton shirts and casual trousers
• Never tumble dry — heat shrinks wool and weakens cotton fibres
• Hang on wide wooden hangers to preserve the shoulder line
• Air the garment overnight between wears before returning to the wardrobe

Less than you think. Most suits need dry cleaning only 2–4 times per year with regular wear. Over-cleaning weakens fibres and shortens the life of the garment.

Between cleanings:

• Brush gently after each wear with a soft clothes brush
• Air the suit overnight before returning to the wardrobe
• Spot-clean small marks rather than send the whole piece
• Steam to refresh — never iron tailored details

For seasonal or long-term storage:

• Clean before storing — moths and bacteria feed on body oils, not the fabric itself
• Use breathable garment bags — cotton or canvas, never plastic which traps moisture
• Wide wooden hangers for suits and jackets; fold knitwear and heavy trousers
• Cedar blocks or lavender sachets to deter moths (refresh every 6 months)
• Cool, dry, dark location — humidity ruins natural fibres faster than anything

Avoid mothballs — they leave a chemical odour that lingers for years.

Don't panic, but act quickly:

1. Blot, don't rub — use a clean white towel to press out as much water as possible
2. Hang on a wide wooden hanger immediately to maintain shape
3. Air-dry at room temperature — away from direct sunlight or heat sources
4. Never use a hairdryer, radiator, or tumble dryer — heat shrinks wool and warps natural fibres permanently
5. Once fully dry, brush gently to restore the nap; if shape has shifted, take to a dry cleaner for pressing

For salt-water or muddy exposure, send to a dry cleaner — home washing will set the stains.

The golden rule: blot, never rub. Rubbing pushes stains deeper into the fibres.

Common stains:

• Fresh wine or coffee — dab cold soda water with a clean white cloth
• Oil or grease — sprinkle talcum powder or cornstarch, leave 1 hour, then brush off gently
• Blood — cold water only (hot water sets blood); dab from the back of the fabric
• Ink — dab with rubbing alcohol on a cotton bud, then blot with water
• Lipstick or makeup — gentle dish soap diluted in water, blot from the outside in

For set-in stains, dried blood, or anything you're unsure about: take it to a dry cleaner with a note describing what caused the stain. The cleaner needs to know to choose the right treatment.

No. Wool fibres are coated in microscopic scales that lock together when agitated in water — this is called felting, and it's permanent. A machine-washed wool suit shrinks by 20–30% and becomes a different garment entirely.

The only safe routes:

• Professional dry cleaning — recommended for all wool suits and jackets
• Hand-wash with caution — only for wool knitwear (not tailored items), in cold water with wool-specific detergent, no agitation, no wringing

Even "wool cycle" on a washing machine still agitates — avoid for tailored wool pieces.

Wool requires care because direct iron contact creates permanent shine (called "glazing"). Use these techniques:

1. Use a pressing cloth — a piece of clean cotton or muslin between the iron and the wool
2. Medium heat with steam — never high/cotton setting
3. Hover, don't press for lapels, shoulders, and chest area — let steam do the work
4. Press from the inside when possible (turn the garment inside-out)
5. Let it rest 30 minutes on a hanger before wearing — fibres need to cool and set

For shoulders and curved areas: hand-held garment steamer is safer than an iron.

Wool is naturally wrinkle-resistant and most travel creases drop out on their own:

• Hang in a steamy bathroom for 15–20 minutes after a hot shower — works for 80% of travel wrinkles
• Hand-held garment steamer — safer than ironing for shoulders and lapels
• Hang on a wide wooden hanger for 24 hours between wears so fibres relax
• Mist lightly with water from a spray bottle, then hang overnight — gravity does the rest

For deep set-in creases that won't budge: send to a dry cleaner for professional pressing.

Pilling (small fibre balls) is normal on fine wool and doesn't damage the garment. It happens most at friction points: inside thighs of trousers, under arms, around collars.

To remove pills:

• Battery-powered fabric shaver — best tool, works in one pass; available at any fabric shop
• Wool comb (a small flat comb with fine teeth) — pulls pills out gently
• Sweater stone (pumice-style) — works but be gentle

Never: pick at pills with your fingers (pulls threads loose), use scissors (creates uneven surface), or use a regular razor (damages fibres).

Quality wool will pill less over time as loose fibres work themselves out — the first few wears are the worst.

Wool is moth-vulnerable, but moths feed on body oils and food residue, not the wool itself. Prevention is straightforward:

• Always clean before storing — even minor sweat residue attracts moths
• Cedar wood blocks or hangers in the wardrobe — re-sand every 6 months to refresh the natural oil scent that moths dislike
• Lavender sachets — natural, smells pleasant, replace every 3 months
• Vacuum-sealed bags for off-season pieces (winter wools in summer storage)
• Inspect monthly — small holes, sandy residue (larvae casings), or fluffy webbing are warning signs

If you find moths: clean affected garments immediately (dry clean for tailored pieces), vacuum the wardrobe thoroughly, and add fresh cedar.

Avoid mothballs — they leave a chemical smell that lingers in the fabric for years.

Wool Silk combines the structure of wool with the lustre of silk — it drapes beautifully but is more delicate than pure wool. Care notes:

• Dry clean only — silk fibres can't tolerate water-based washing
• Low heat when ironing with a pressing cloth — silk scorches easily
• Steam from a distance — direct steam contact can spot the silk
• Hang on padded or wide wooden hangers — silk can crease at the shoulder line
• Store in a breathable bag — silk loses lustre in plastic

The natural sheen of silk makes wrinkles more visible than pure wool — hang properly between wears.

Wool Linen blends the warmth and structure of wool with the breathability and casual texture of linen. It's ideal for warmer climates but needs balanced care:

• Dry clean recommended for tailored pieces — water-washing risks shrinkage from the wool component
• Expect natural creasing from the linen — this is part of the fabric's character, not a defect
• Steam to refresh rather than iron flat — the texture is meant to be lived-in
• Hang immediately after wearing — wrinkles set if left folded
• Avoid direct sunlight when drying — linen yellows over time with UV exposure

If pressing is necessary: medium heat with steam, use a pressing cloth.

The lustre of silk-blend wool comes from the smooth surface of silk fibres. Preserve it by:

• Brushing in one direction with a soft natural-bristle brush after each wear
• Storing in breathable cotton garment bags — never plastic, which dulls silk over time
• Keeping out of direct sunlight — UV degrades silk fibres and fades colour
• Avoiding deodorant or perfume contact — alcohol and aluminium spot silk permanently
• Spot-testing any home cleaner on an inside seam first

If sheen dulls over time, professional dry cleaning with silk-appropriate solvents can often restore it.

It depends on the blend composition and the proportions:

• Wool + Silk — slightly less durable; silk is fine but delicate. Best for occasion wear, not daily rotation.
• Wool + Linen — comparable durability, more breathable, expect natural creasing
• Wool Blend (synthetic) — typically more wrinkle-resistant and easier to maintain, slightly less luxurious hand-feel
• Wool Silk Linen — the most delicate of the blends; treat as you would silk

Generally: more natural fibre = more luxurious, but more care required. Synthetic blends are more forgiving for daily wear.

Yes. UV light degrades all natural fibres over time — most rapidly affecting silk and linen, more slowly affecting wool.

To minimise fading:

• Store away from windows — even ambient indoor sunlight causes fading over months
• Use opaque garment bags for long-term storage
• Rotate items in your wardrobe — don't always reach for the front items
• Avoid drying in direct sun — air-dry in a shaded ventilated area
• Dark colours fade fastest — navy, black, and deep colours show fading more visibly than light tones

If you live in Bangkok, the UV intensity is high — extra care in storage and drying pays off in longevity.

Yes — and they're part of the character. Linen wrinkles because its fibres are stiff and have no natural elasticity. This is what gives linen its distinctive texture and casual elegance.

How to embrace and manage:

• Light wrinkles add character — they signal natural fibre and proper craftsmanship
• Hang immediately after wearing — most wrinkles relax overnight
• Steam to soften creases rather than press flat
• Iron damp if you want crisp finish — but the texture loses some natural charm

If you want zero wrinkles, consider a cotton or wool-linen blend instead. Pure linen will always crease.

Linen is one of the more wash-friendly natural fibres — but tailored linen pieces still benefit from careful treatment:

• Tailored linen suits or jackets — dry clean only (interfacing and construction can't survive water)
• Casual linen shirts and trousers — machine wash on gentle cycle, cool water (30°C max)
• Use mild detergent — harsh detergents weaken linen fibres over time
• Skip the spin cycle — high-speed spinning causes deep creases
• Hang to dry immediately — never tumble dry, which shrinks linen 5–10%

Linen actually softens with each wash — expect it to feel more pleasant over time.

Air-drying is the only safe method for linen:

• Hang on a wide wooden hanger while still slightly damp — gravity smooths the fabric
• Shape with your hands while damp to set the silhouette
• Dry in a shaded, ventilated area — direct sunlight can yellow linen over time
• Avoid clothespegs on shirt shoulders — they leave marks that don't iron out
• Lay flat to dry for heavy linen pieces (jackets, trousers) — hanging when waterlogged can stretch the fabric

If you must iron: do it while linen is still slightly damp, on a high heat setting with steam. Dry linen is hard to iron flat.

Linen yellowing has several causes — each with a different fix:

• Sun exposure — over time, UV degrades linen fibres. Often irreversible, but lemon juice and sun (paradoxically) can lighten mild yellowing
• Body oils and sweat — clean immediately after wear; old sweat sets into yellow stains
• Improper storage — plastic bags and humidity create yellowing; switch to breathable bags
• Iron scorch — usually permanent; try gentle rubbing with hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball (spot-test first)

For valuable pieces with significant yellowing: a professional restoration cleaner can sometimes treat it. For prevention: store linen white pieces away from light and clean before storing.

Cotton & Linen combines the softness and easier care of cotton with the breathability and texture of linen:

• Less wrinkling than pure linen — cotton lends some structure and crease resistance
• Softer hand-feel from the start (pure linen softens over time but starts crisp)
• More forgiving wash — gentle machine wash works on casual cotton-linen pieces (still dry clean tailored items)
• Easier to iron — the cotton component takes a press more readily
• Same breathability for warm climates — both fibres are highly absorbent

Cotton & Linen is a good "first linen" for those new to the texture — easier to maintain while still offering linen's character.

Cotton handles heat better than most fabrics, but optimal temperature depends on colour and condition:

• White cotton shirts — 40–60°C; hot water helps remove sweat and brightens whites
• Coloured cotton — 30°C cool wash to prevent colour fading
• Dark cotton (navy, black) — 30°C cold wash, turn inside-out to minimise fading
• Cotton trousers (tailored) — dry clean if structured; gentle cold machine wash if casual
• Cotton Spandex — always cool 30°C; heat destroys the elastic component

For new dark cotton, wash separately the first 2–3 times to capture loose dye.

The spandex (elastane) component is what gives this fabric its comfortable stretch — but it's sensitive to heat and chemicals:

• Cool water only — 30°C maximum; heat breaks down spandex fibres
• No tumble dryer ever — heat is the #1 killer of stretch fabrics
• Hang to dry flat when possible — hanging while wet stretches the fabric
• Avoid fabric softener — coats spandex and reduces elasticity over time
• Skip bleach — destroys spandex even at low concentrations
• Don't iron directly on stretch areas — high heat melts the elastane

Properly cared for, Cotton Spandex stretch lasts 100+ washes. Abused, it can lose elasticity in 10.

Yes, especially the first wash. Most quality cotton shrinks 2–5% on first wash, even when pre-shrunk at the mill. Hot water and tumble drying accelerate shrinkage.

To minimise shrinkage:

• Cool wash (30°C) instead of hot
• Never tumble dry — the heat causes the most shrinkage
• Air-dry on a hanger while still damp; gravity stretches lightly back
• Reshape while wet — pull gently to original dimensions

If a garment has shrunk: Soak in cool water with hair conditioner for 30 minutes, then gently stretch back to size while damp. Air-dry. This works because conditioner relaxes the cotton fibres temporarily.

Cotton takes heat well and irons easily — get a crisp finish with this order:

1. Iron while slightly damp — easier and more effective than dry ironing
2. Use steam on high heat (cotton setting on most irons)
3. Iron in this order: collar → cuffs → sleeves → yoke (back shoulders) → back panel → front panels
4. Press, don't drag — lift and place the iron, don't slide across pleats or seams
5. Hang immediately on a wide hanger to cool — heat is what sets the press

For Cotton Spandex, use lower heat (synthetic setting) and avoid direct contact with stretch panels.

White cotton naturally dulls over time from sweat, sunscreen, and washing residue. Restore brightness with:

• Hot wash (60°C) when fabric allows — check label first; many quality cotton shirts can handle 60°C
• Oxygen bleach (not chlorine) — gentler on fibres, restores brightness
• Half cup of white vinegar in the rinse — removes detergent buildup that causes dullness
• Lemon juice + sunshine — dab fresh lemon on yellowing collars, then dry in direct sun for 1 hour (works on whites only)
• Wash whites separately from colours, every time

For deep yellowing (especially under collars and armpits): pre-treat with diluted hydrogen peroxide before washing.

Polyester is heat-sensitive — high temperatures permanently set wrinkles and can melt the fibres:

• Cool to warm wash (30–40°C maximum) — never hot
• Low or medium heat for ironing — synthetic setting on the iron
• Air-dry preferred — tumble dryers on high heat can shrink or melt polyester
• If tumble drying is necessary, use the lowest heat and remove while slightly damp

Polyester rarely needs hot water — it doesn't hold dirt or oils the way natural fibres do.

Polyester fibres are strong, so loose fibres don't break off — they stay attached and ball up. Friction (under arms, inside thighs, around bags) accelerates this.

To minimise and remove pilling:

• Turn inside-out when washing — reduces friction with other fabrics
• Wash with similar fabrics — never with rough textures like denim or towels
• Use fabric softener occasionally — coats fibres and reduces friction
• Battery-powered fabric shaver — best removal tool, works in seconds
• Never pick at pills — pulls threads and creates worse damage

Polyester blends with natural fibres (like cotton-poly) tend to pill less than 100% polyester.

Static cling is common with polyester, especially in dry climates or air-conditioned environments. Several quick fixes:

• Fabric softener in the rinse — coats fibres to reduce static during the next wear
• Anti-static spray — light mist on the garment before wearing
• Hang in a humid bathroom for 10 minutes before wearing
• Rub a metal hanger over the garment — discharges static instantly
• Light mist of water from a spray bottle — water grounds the static

For long-term prevention: hang polyester garments with a light-misted cotton cloth in the same wardrobe space; the cotton absorbs static buildup.

Polyester is one of the most durable fabrics by raw strength — but durability isn't the only measure of longevity:

• Tear strength — polyester outlasts cotton, linen, and wool by 2–3x
• Colour retention — synthetic dyes hold better; less fading from washing or sunlight
• Wrinkle resistance — stays looking newer with less ironing
• Aesthetic lifespan — pilling and a worn look appear earlier than natural fibres
• Hand-feel — degrades faster as the fabric is exposed to body oils that synthetic fibres struggle to release fully in washing

Practical result: a polyester garment may look "worn" before it actually wears out. Natural fibres often look better as they age (linen especially), while polyester tends to look tired sooner.

Polyester is easier to store than natural fibres — it resists moths, doesn't need cedar, and tolerates plastic better. But a few principles still apply:

• Wash before storing — even synthetic fibres can yellow from sweat residue over time
• Hang or fold — both work; polyester resists creasing
• Avoid direct heat sources — even ambient warmth from radiators can warp the fabric over months
• Plastic bags are okay short-term but breathable bags prevent any musty smell from developing
• Keep away from sharp objects — polyester resists tearing but snags can leave permanent pulls

Unlike wool or silk, polyester doesn't need rotation, special hangers, or seasonal care. It's the lowest-maintenance fabric DGRIE offers.
